About Us
Approach Outdoor Education is owned and operated by Ginette Traversy-Ens. Ginette is a certified Firefighter/EMT and a member of Edmonton Regional Search and Rescue. Professionally, she teaches a wide range of first aid and safety courses to corporate clients and individuals throughout Canada. She is a certified instructor for Red Cross First Aid Services.
Ginette & Shadow "The Mountain Dog"
Ginette is an active outdoor enthusiast who spends much of her free time hiking, backpacking, climbing, and horseback riding in the Rocky Mountains and Eastern Slopes region of Alberta. With over 20 years of backcountry experience, she is proficient in a wide range of wilderness skills and has successfully completed numerous outdoor courses including rock climbing, avalanche rescue, crevasse rescue, ice climbing, scuba diving, cave diving and various search and rescue courses.
Ginette is fully bilingual and can offer courses in English and French.
